Alessandra DOSSELLI
Alessandra Dosselli
Alessandra Dosselli was born in Brescia on 23 July 1974. After studying classics and music, she graduated with honours in architecture from the Politecnico di Milano and specialised in cultural policy management at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Barcelona.
She is active in fine art photography, entering national and international competitions, holding solo exhibitions and taking part in selected group shows in Italy, Spain, Germany and China. Specialising in digital post-production, she has won awards in contemporary art and photography since 1999.
Her prestigious commissions include “Tres”, a decorative series of works dedicated to Spain for Sabrina Fungs, curator of the Hong Kong section of the 2006 Venice Biennale; and the documentation of the memory of key former industrial sites in Brescia, including the Comparto Milano, the future home of MUSIL, the Museum of Industry, and the historic Magazzini Generali. The latter project gave rise to the “MMGG” series, exhibited by Gigliola Foschi at the first MIA in 2011. The photography festivals in which she has participated include the Brescia International Photography Biennale and the Turin Photo Festival.
She is currently exploring the expressive power of red, combined with white and black, in settings where a deep connection develops between art and architecture. In 2014, this project led her to become a photographer for Ferrari S.p.A., working with its Museums and Events division.
